DAY
BERGEN
Your trip begins in the charming city of Bergen. Explore this colorful gateway to the fjords before you set off. Bergen was founded in 1070 and has largely retained its character, charm and history. Visit the old district of Bryggen, to discover its colorful wooden quays dating from the 14th century. You could stroll through its cobbled lanes, have a snack on the terrace of a cafe or restaurant, take the Fløibanen funicular or you go to the famous fish market. Treat your taste buds: after departure, savor a delicious buffet dinner made with fresh coastal products. We will head north in the wake of the Vikings in the Hjeltefjord.

DAY
Florø - Molde
In the morning, admire the spectacular view of the Nordfjord before having a delicious breakfast. We will then pass the Western Cape and approach Ålesund, famous for its superb Art Nouveau architecture. Molde is nicknamed the “city of roses” because of its flower-filled municipal gardens. This charming coastal town is surrounded by no less than 222 peaks that can be seen beyond the fjord and known as the “Molde Panorama”.

DAY
Kristiansund - Rørvik
The charming city of Trondheim is as rich in history as it is in culture. Magical, medieval and modern.
Founded by Viking King Olaf Tryggvason in 997, Trondheim today displays a unique blend of old and new. Join our optional excursion to the majestic Nidaros Cathedral, Norway's only Gothic cathedral, and the Tomb of St. Olaf (Tryggvason). Admire the sublime works, architectural details and medieval statues of the cathedral. In the afternoon, the ship will head northwest and pass the Kjeungskjær lighthouse, islets and rocky reefs. We will take the narrow Stokksund canal, then we will travel to the charming town of Rørvik.

DAY
Brønnøysund - Svolvær
We will cross the Arctic Circle which should allow you to see the Northern Lights in winter. We will celebrate this moment by having an Arctic Circle crossing ceremony on the bridge. We will then follow the superb Helgeland coast to Bodø. In the afternoon, the rock face of Lofoten will appear on the horizon, revealing its majestic granite cliffs reaching 1000 meters high and their white sand beaches. We will pass the Arctic Circle, actively attempt to see the Northern Lights, and broadcast a multimedia show called The Magical Light of the Northern Lights. We will take the narrow Raftsund and stop at the mouth of the Trollfjord, offering a natural spectacle not to be missed.

DAY
Stokmarknes - Skjervøy
We will dock briefly at Risøyhamn, Harstad and Finnsnes in the morning.
In the early afternoon, you will arrive in Tromsø for an extended stopover. Many Arctic expeditions have chosen Tromsø as their starting point. This has earned the city its nickname “Gateway to the Arctic”. The city's major sights are the iconic Arctic Cathedral, the Polaria Center and the cable car which offers stunning views of the city and its surroundings. Tromsø, disembark and explore the incredible nature, culture and history of this city.
Throughout the year, you can meet the Hurtigruten guides for hikes to discover the region of Tromsø.
Tromsø will be the starting point for the search for the Northern Lights from September to March.

JOUR
Øksfjord - Berlevåg
Contemplate the sublime landscapes of the North Cape, one of the northernmost points of the European continent.
After a short stop at Hammerfest, we will arrive in Havøysund.

DAY
Båtsfjord - Kirkenes
We will arrive in Vadsø early in the morning and dock in Kirkenes after breakfast. This is where the ship will turn around and begin its journey south and this is also where we will say goodbye to the passengers on the classic South to North journey.
You should leave with unforgettable memories of your fascinating journey from South to North along the Norwegian coast.
